Hope For Us Uganda’s “Batwa Conservation and Inclusion Campaign” returns with The Batwa Run 2026, taking place Sunday, November 29, 2026, at Kisoro Mayors Garden – under the theme “Running for Conservation, Inclusion and Empowerment.”

The run advocates for the rights of the Batwa, Uganda’s indigenous forest community displaced from Bwindi and Mgahinga, while raising awareness around disability inclusion, environmental stewardship, and sustainable livelihoods. Organized by Hope For Us Uganda, whose mission is “Empowering Communities, Promoting Inclusion, Transforming Lives,” the event brings together runners, sponsors, and the local community in a shared push for conservation and social justice.
