Bugungu Wildlife Reserve is known for its diverse mammal populations, including Uganda kob, buffalo, waterbuck, hartebeest, and occasional sightings of elephants.Predators such as lions and leopards are also present, though less frequently seen.The reserve is a haven for birdwatchers with over 200 bird species recorded, including the rare shoebill stork along the Nile banks.
